Native Grass Planting

whitetail industries food plot seed

Less Stress, Better Soil

Native grasses are a great way to prevent soil erosion and improve water quality—all at lower cost than maintaining non-native grass.

If you want a good stand in your first year, and not after 3–4 years, the grass needs to be seeded and planted correctly. We use high quality seed, test for germination, and plant at the appropriate depth for the size of the seed.

As important as the planting of your grass is the initial mowing. That is why our team takes care to mow your freshly planted native grass three times in the first year. This ensures that the grass grows correctly and is not weighed down by the clippings from one big mow late into the season.
